As an attorney in the US, Tracy Roman is keenly aware of the daily stresses that can overwhelm a business and its people. She understands the causes of low morale and burnout and the impact that has on an entire organization. She knows that good leadership can create a good organization, but it takes great leadership to sustain one. And to be a great leader requires understanding the mind.
Tracy Roman has been studying under Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche since 2009. Before meeting Rinpoche, she practiced high-stakes law in Los Angeles for 10 years. The work was challenging and the hours were extreme. Tracy enjoyed being a lawyer and thrived on the intellectual stimulation the work provided, but she still felt unfulfilled. Days would race by unnoticed. She was not living a conscious, present life, and it was affecting her work performance and satisfaction.
Motivated by a desire to find a way to be connected, conscious, and calm within her busy professional life, Tracy began studying Tibetan Buddhism. She has received years of trainings and teachings from Tulku Lobsang Rinpoche and several other teachers. She is a certified teacher of several practices designed to optimize the body and mind.
Through her experience, Tracy knows it is possible to live a fulfilling, peaceful life even while working in demanding professions. Gaining better understanding and mastery of our minds leads to clarity, focus, and calmness that increases decisiveness, inspires ingenuity, and improves overall performance. Most importantly, it reduces the daily stress that leads to mistakes, inefficiencies, and low productivity. Tracy has experienced first-hand the daily challenges of business, and knows that these techniques and the wisdom underlying them really can make a difference.
